Ashley Pandey’s life is in upheaval. Again. His best friend is gravely ill, he’s about to make an enemy of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in North America, and it could cost him his life. Everything is chaos, with one major exception: Jamie MacDougall, Deputy U.S. Marshal.
Coming September 2021
Excerpt:
“Do you cook?” The question jolts me out of my reverie, and while my mind catches up to the conversation I watch as he adds a pinch of this and a dash of that to the pan, never measuring anything. He must make this frequently, because that’s pretty impressive, at least to me. I snort indelicately, and that makes Jamie turn, finally giving me his full attention. My brain stutters to a halt, utterly wrecked, as I am hit with the power of a Jamie MacDougall grin. “I’ll take that as a no. Do you want to try?” I blame him for what happens next.
Without thinking I find myself right next to him, eagerly nodding. “I’m afraid I haven’t the first clue how to make anything that doesn’t involve the microwave, the contents of a can, or a telephone. You’ve been warned.” He laughs and I stare, dumbfounded. We’ve been together almost every day for months and I have never heard a full-blown laugh from him. Sure, he’s made a few amused sounds, and once even chuckled. I thought that was a miracle! Now I’m desperately trying to think of ways to make him laugh again, because it’s the best sound in the entire world.
“All right, why don’t I show you how to chop the garlic. That’s fairly straightforward.” I hesitantly set my tea on the counter. What am I doing? Jamie hands me the knife, hilt first, like I know what to do with it, and motions for me to step in front of the cutting board. “It’s not going to bite you, Ashley.”
I swallow hard and look him in the eyes. “You don’t know that. You’ve never seen me in the kitchen.” I take the knife from him and hold it in a vice-like grip while I stare at the clove of garlic, glaring it into submission.
A laundry mix-up sends Manhattan's answer to Magic Mike and his sequined, studded thongs to my office.
Fabio Zappa or "Fab" as he conceitedly likes to be called is a male **ahem** stripper/escort and is indeed fabulous.
Too fabulous to be offering me, a penniless widow that's double his age, a free night with the "full package."
Why would he offer to be the fake fiancé I desperately need to keep away my obnoxious rival that has always wanted to steal my company--and me on the side--after my husband died?
Unless Fab is sent by said rival to spy on the secret deal that will save the company from him...
I accept the "generous" offer to discover the truth. But when I do, I find out nothing is what it seems.
And what starts as fake could turn out to be the most real thing I could ask for.
The Italian Happy Ever After is a forbidden age gap, fake fiancé, office rom com, widow/single dad that will make you laugh, cry and melt your panties.

“You need a date for the night. I’m offering my services…the full package.” He drew back a little, just enough to make me see his full face, where my gaze was level with his very biteable mouth. Then his finger lifted my chin so I’d meet his eyes. “First night on the house.” He winked. WINKED.
I blinked like an idiot, standing there like a brunette Barbie, the actual lyrics of Barbie Girl playing in my head. You can brush my hair, undress me everywheeeeere… “No. No! Nope. Uh-uh.”
He looked at me like I was a crazy person. Of course, a middle-aged widow rejecting a free night—did he actually offer me a night with him for free or did I imagine it?—with this, all this… My tongue licked my lips again as I took in his frame one more time. I closed my eyes before they wandered to his sweatpants.
N. J. Adel, the author of All the Teacher’s Pets, Her Royal Harem, The Italians and I Hate You then I Love You series, is a cross genre author. From chocolate to books and book boyfriends, she likes it DARK and SPICY.
Mafia bosses, psycho anti-heroes, bikers, rock stars, dirty Hollywood heartthrobs, supes, smexy guards and men who serve. She loves it all.
She is a loather of cats and thinks they are Satan’s pets. She used to teach English by day and write fun smut by night with her German Shepherd, Leo. Now, she only writes the fun smut.
Let's see...where to begin... I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever. I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.) We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman. I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels. If I'm not writing; I'm reading. My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!) I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.

Scarlett Cole is a contemporary romance author that calls both Toronto, Canada and Manchester, England home. A born city dweller, she periodically quashes the urge to live in the country by hiking up a mountain to remind herself that living away from people would terrify the pants off her.
She believes everybody deserves their love story to be told and loves her heroes on the rough and rugged side…and usually tall (because she married one of those 6ft 6” men you read about in romance!). She’s an A-type personality and Scorpio star sign, so good luck getting her to do anything she doesn’t want to.
When she isn’t writing, she’s happy to talk hot men and expensive shoes while drinking a cold gin and tonic. Don’t bring up olives. As far as Scarlett is concerned, they are the devil’s food. As long as you don’t bring up olives, she’s happy to hear from any time.

As the first openly gay professional football player, I can’t afford to make any mistakes, on or off the field. And the absolute biggest mistake I could make right now would be to fall for Mikey Vining, my best friend, employee and, more importantly, Coach’s baby boy. I might fantasize about Mikey at night-—every night—but actually touching him would be a serious personal foul.
And falling for him? That’s completely out of bounds.
Mikey:
I’ve learned my lesson about falling for one of my dad’s players. They’re a bunch of spoiled jocks with more muscles than brains. I’ve spent years learning to keep my eyes, and my hands, to myself. But resisting the temptation becomes nearly impossible when Tiller Raine and I end up together in a small cabin in a remote Colorado town.
Suddenly, there’s not much to do but look at each other. And talk. And hopefully, hopefully touch.
But what happens when our stay in Aster Valley is over and it’s time to return to the real world? Will Coach blow the whistle on our relationship? Or will Tiller admit there might actually be something he loves more than football after all?
I turned and ran right into a delicious-cologne-smelling beast.
“Oh, fuck,” I blurted, windmilling my arms in an effort not to keel over.
Strong hands grabbed my sides and held me upright. I glanced up into Tiller Raine’s stormy-gray eyes and tried not to get a stupid crush on a cocky rookie football player which meant I jumped back with a choking grunt sound and almost fell over again.
The edge of Tiller’s mouth turned up the barest amount. I glared at him. “I’m fine, thanks,” I snapped before reminding myself this person was now my boss.
Tiller’s nostrils flared. “Listen, Mikey. You don’t need to like this,” he said in a low voice. “And I don’t need to like
this. But we both have a job to do, so let’s just focus on the job. Got it?”
For some reason, that hurt. I wanted to be allowed to dislike him for no reason, but the same didn’t apply to him disliking me.
“It’s Michael, actually,” I corrected, even though absolutely zero people used my full name outside of doctors and government offices. “And yeah, focus on the job. Fine.”
How many times could I possibly use that word in one day?”
“Fine,” he repeated with a nod.
“Yeah. Fine.”
We stared at each other for a few beats before Tiller seemed to snap out of it and reached into his pocket for his keys.
“Key to the apartment,” he said gruffly, handing it over. “I’ll get a copy of the house key made and bring it over to you after practice.”
“Thanks,” I managed before remembering what I’d been hired for. “Any allergies, picky eating, or health issues I need to know for your diet?”
He shook his head. “Whatever is fine.”
Great. Fine. I’m sure I could narrow down the choices from about ten thousand options. No problem. “So… I’ll just… throw together anything?”
The great Tiller Raine gave me a sum total of one word in response. “Sure.” Which suited me just fine. This time I’d made myself a promise. No sleeping with jackass ballplayers. No sleeping with players of any kind, in fact. And absolutely no sleeping with my boss.

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016. Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own. She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day.
Lucy hopes you enjoy sexy heroes as much as she does. Happy reading!
